Angela Bush - DRIVING

I decided to obtain my CDL because I'm now in the stage of my life journey of getting retirement ready. I felt the transportation industry would be a great transition into my next journey. Additional goals or opportunities would be providing educational sessions and also freight brokering. I'm excited to be a part of an industry that's needed by everyone, worldwide! I'm also, looking forward to running some team loads and traveling the world!

Latasha Dupree - Driving

I’m committed to a trucking career because I love traveling. Seeing the world an just driving it’s something I enjoy . Driving makes me happy . So I’d love to take the next step into making a career from it.

Amelia Friesen - Leadership

Peterbilt has shaped me in ways that I never thought were possible. I could not be happier with this career path that I have chosen, and I am eager to see where it takes me. Peterbilt is an amazing company to work for, and I cannot express my thanks enough to them and the WIT Foundation, for giving me this opportunity to help further my career as a woman in trucking.

The trucking industry has been a staple in the United States for many years. It's an important part of our economy. I want to be part of the trucking legacy that made the USA what it is today. I hope to gain my MBA so I can move forward and show my leadership capabilities. I plan to push myself and co-workers to better the industry, our company, and ourselves.

Holly Jones - Driving

Ever since I was a little girl I’d see women working in male dominated fields. I’m the first among my family to pursue a career in trucking. I’m pursuing trucking to prove to myself that I can and make as big an impact along my journey.

I am committed to a career in transportation in general but when it comes to trucking, I would like to help the industry from a policy position. I hope to work in public policy to help stand by unions, helps with Regulations and working conditions. I plan to attend Law school in the Fall of 2020 and currently working on a US senate campaign, and I help to form policy about the trucking industry and fair litigation to help bring an end to the lawsuit war that was declared on out industry.

Delana Skinner - driving

I've worked at Peterbilt for 3 years now and I have truly enjoyed it. I have enjoyed learning more and more each year about the company and what they have to offer their employees. I am committed to a career in trucking because I have a passion for the work our trucks do and the joy our trucks give to our customers. The trucks you see out on the road directly help the people in our community as well as improve our economy.

It is an industry that isn't going away any time soon. Trucking is the heartbeat of America. You see the trucks hauling goods everywhere: interstates, country back roads, and cities. I love the idea of making sure food, clothing and other essentials will be accessible to people around the country by keeping Rigs on the Road.

I am a single mother of 3 who wants better for myself and for my children. I've always had an interest in driving trucks and listening to so many people say it's a man's job, so I'm striving to prove many people wrong and show myself that I can do it. I want to be able to provide more adequately for my family and have more time with them  instead of working 2 jobs. This is a major goal for myself since I've overcame so many struggles in my life I want to prove to myself that this is an opportunity for me to be on top.

Lisa Thompson Marshall - driving

I want to be my one boss and some day own my truck.
