Debora Babin-Katz, board chair

Debora Babin Katz spearheads business development and strategy for TrucBrush® Corporation, the makers of an innovative, mobile device for safely and quickly removing snow from the tops of trucks and trailers. She has over 20 years of business development, marketing, and sales experience, mainly in the commercial snow and landscape management industry. In her role at TrucBrush, Debora focuses on working with her customers and/or their snow vendors to help them effectively apply this new technology for fleet snow clearing at their facilities and improve operations and roadway safety. A graduate of Babson College, she possesses a true entrepreneurial spirit, which led her to establish her own marketing communication consulting firm in 2006 prior to joining TrucBrush Corporation.

Dana Gilman, Secretary/Treasurer

Dana is CFO of J. J. Keller & Associates, where she started working in 2014. She has a BBA in Finance, MBA, and Certified Managerial Accountant designation. In addition, Dana has over 17 years of progressive experience in finance with Kimberly-Clark, Jarden and Miles Kimball. She most recently served at the CFO level at Outlook Group Corporation. Dana and her husband, Trent, have a son and daughter.

 

 

John Dietze, Board Member

John Dietze is the Dealer Sales Leader for the Transportation Finance vertical within BMO.  The business serves all aspects of the U.S. transportation industry including Manufacturer, Dealer and End User, with a product offering that include wholesale, retail and leasing. John began his career with the Associates in 1985 (acquired by Citigroup in 2000) and held a number of positions within the business including operations, risk and sales prior to moving into his current Senior Management position in September of 2011. His exposure into various parts of the business has provided him an indepth knowledge of the entire transportation supply chain and has positioned John as a true expert in the industry. John and his wife Bonnie have two children and he enjoys time with his family, golfing and keeping track of Nebraska football.

Sue Godsey, Board member 

Sue Godsey is the Talent Acquisition Director for Ryder System, Inc., a FORTUNE 500® Commercial Fleet Management, Dedicated Transportation and Supply Chain Solutions company. She is responsible for providing Strategic Recruitment Programs, Compliance Management and Team Leadership.   She successfully leads a national team of 40 recruiters with sourcing and hiring 2,500 technicians, supervisors, operations, sales and rental directors, and other DOT regulated and corporate leadership positions annually.  Sue recently married, and she enjoys gardening, reading, crafts and spending time with her five new grandchildren.

 

Jeff Hammonds, board member   

Jeff Hammonds is Vice-President of Walmart Transportation in Bentonville, Ark. (www.walmartstores.com) and manages one of the world’s largest Private Fleets with 7,900 drivers serving Walmart’s over 4,000 U.S. retail locations.

Jeff has served in both field and home office positions during his 18 year tenure at Walmart, including Operations Manager, General Transportation Manager, Regional Transportation Manager, and Vice-President.

He is instrumental in developing strategies which increase shareholder value and increase productivity, while providing a work environment that attracts top driving talent.

Brent Hutto, board member 

Brent Hutto is the Chief Relationship Officer at Truckstop.com. Hutto is a transportation and logistics professional with more than 20 years of leadership in sales and marketing. His focus includes brand consulting with Fortune 500 companies with specific experience in product development, distribution channel management, marketing communications, and research. He has been happily married to his wife Teresa for 19 years, and they have six children.  

Theresa Payne-Brown, board member

As a General Manager of National Account Sales, Theresa Payne Brown sells tractor trailers for Hyundai Translead. She has ten years’ experience in the transportation industry, including six years’ outside sales experience. In 2016 she brought in 19% of the company’s total units sold, helping elevate Hyundai Translead to the number three position among U.S. Trailer Manufacturers.

She currently holds a seat on the Board of Directors for the California Trucking Association and was most recently added to the Foundation Board for Women in Trucking. Thrilled to be a member of WIT, she is passionate about breaking down barriers and advocating for women in the industry.

Angela Thompson, board member 

Angela Thompson is the Vice President of Human Resources for UPS’s U.S. East Region. Her responsibilities include H.R. strategic and tactical support to 150,000 UPS employees in 26 states – more than a third of UPS’ global workforce. She also monitors H.R. processes to ensure a consistent and balanced implementation and provides solutions to increase profit and growth. 

Angela holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from William Penn College and a masters degree from Webster University. She serves on the board of the Figure Skating in Harlem foundation and is an active member of the East Region Diversity and Inclusion Council.

Gail Wearsch, Board Member

Gail Wearsch is the Director, Fleet Sales, Channel Programs at TravelCenters of America. She joined their team in 2010 as an Account Manager. Gail has a 15-year record of driving complex sales initiatives while identifying and capturing market opportunities to expand customer base, increase revenues, and enhance profitability. She combines outstanding managerial and communication skills with commitment to core values.

 
 

Christina mc coy, Executive Director 

Christina McCoy joined the Women In Trucking team on March 1, 2019 as Executive Director of the Foundation. She brings many years of experience working with membership associations, development, partnerships, membership and events. 

Christina is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and resides in DeForest, WI with her husband and two children.
