Women in Trucking Foundation celebrates International Women’s Day
The Women In Trucking Foundation celebrated International Women's Day with a fundraising event with the Trimble Transportation Women’s Network! Trimble employees heard from two women in the trucking industry, Kellylynn McLaughlin, Driver Ambassador, CMV Driver Trainer, OTR Driver for WiT and Gail Wearsch, Vice President, Fleet Sales, Channel Partner Programs for TravelCenters of America and Women In Trucking Foundation Chair.
The event raised $1,000 for the Women In Trucking Foundation to help support the foundations efforts to provide scholarships to ambitious students, drivers, and professionals in the trucking industry who seek to grow their skills through classroom and vocational training. Women in the Trucking Foundation announces recipient of the RITA WIT Foundation Lena Daly Scholarship
“Working in the trucking industry as a woman was intimidating at first, but it has truly been amazing,” said Lancellotta. “I have learned so much about business and how transportation is such a crucial part of every business worldwide. Receiving this scholarship has been such an honor and will help me to further my career in transportation,” she said. Lancellotta plans to use her finance degree to continue helping customers purchase the fleet they need to run a successful company.
